Dr. Eric Kam is a full professor in the Department of Economics at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he also serves as Director of the Economics and Finance undergraduate program. He holds a PhD in Economics from York University and has built a distinguished academic career specializing in macroeconomics and economic pedagogy. His research, which is focused on accessible, evidence-based approaches to teaching and understanding macroeconomic principles, has been published in several respected, peer-reviewed journals. A recognized leader in teaching and curriculum development, Dr. Kam received TMU’s prestigious President’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2013 and subsequently served as the university’s Director of Learning and Teaching from 2014 to 2018. Beyond the university, Dr. Kam is a frequent commentator on national media platforms, most notably as Corus Radio’s resident economics expert, where he provides clear, accessible analysis on economic policy, labour markets, fiscal issues, and broader macroeconomic trends.
