CPA Ontario’s Audit Immersion Program is designed to strengthen your audit expertise, enhance professional judgment, and support your career advancement, whether you work in a public accounting firm or in an industry role with responsibilities in audit, internal controls, governance, risk management or financial reporting. The curriculum covers the most critical elements of audits and review engagements and is suitable for CPAs with varying levels of involvement, from occasional exposure to complex audit mandates.
This program goes beyond technical learning. It provides a structured, immersive experience that helps you understand not only what the Audit Standards require, but why they matter and how to apply them effectively in real world contexts. Throughout the program, you’ll explore audit quality management, CAS application, documentation expectations, risk assessment, professional skepticism, fraud considerations, and the nuances of review engagements, all through practical case studies and expert led discussions.
Designed with busy season in mind: This program is delivered 100% virtually, with all live sessions recorded for on demand viewing. Most of the course is self study, allowing you to progress at your own pace. Participants have until September 30, 2026 to complete the program and until March 23, 2027 to access all course materials.

Francis (Frank) Seguin, CPA, CA, has over 25 years’ experience providing training, lecturing, assurance and advisory services to clients based in Ontario, throughout Canada and internationally, with a focus on the broader public sector and not-for-profit organizations. He has worked in professional services’ firm for over 20 years as well as in industry, and currently lectures for CPA Ontario and CPA Quebec; he has also lectured on a part-time basis at the bachelors’ and graduate levels in the Université du Québec en Outaouais and the University of Ottawa.
