Key Takeaways
Upon completion of this course, you will learn that:
- When you communicate with external parties, effective writing will cause your clients and stakeholders to say “yes” to your ideas.
- When you communicate with internal parties, effective writing will save time for both the writer and reader. This time can be shifted toward key business activities, such as pursuing revenue or reducing costs.
- It is important to understand the entire picture. Many professionals who are seeking to become better communicators fail to recognize which aspects of writing are better taught by a writing instructor compared to which aspects are better taught by a practicing CPA. This course will demystify how each of these critical components should be taught and learned.
Who Will Benefit
The following groups would benefit from this course:
- This course is intended for CPAs who are tasked with conveying technical information in written formats.
- The course is loaded with advice for CPAs who communicate internally, but it is an indispensable resource for those who also communicate with external readers, such as clients or stakeholders.
- The course is particularly helpful for those who wish to receive prompt, streamlined responses, since the instructor obsesses over how to make life easy for your readers.
