GenAI is a constantly evolving space. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google’s Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft’s Copilot are constantly working to compete in this space to ensure that they capture market share and more importantly don’t fall behind. The course will provide guidance on the different features each offering has as well as the gaps. The course will offer test prompts for each feature tested that attendees could use for themselves. Participants will learn to systematically assess GenAI platforms across the dimensions that matter most for the work CPAs do, whether it’s drafting emails, putting together formulas, or executing research-oriented tasks. The course provides ready-to-use test prompts for each feature category, enabling CPAs to conduct their own evaluations as the technology continues to evolve.
Key Takeaways
By the end of this seminar, participants will understand the following:
- GenAI Platform Landscape: A clear-eyed comparison of the major GenAI offerings from OpenAI (ChatGPT/GPT-4), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Microsoft (Copilot), and emerging players like Perplexity, including their distinct strengths, weaknesses, and pricing models.
- Evaluation Framework for Professional Use: A structured methodology for assessing GenAI tools against CPA-relevant criteria.
- Test Prompts and Benchmarking Techniques: Practical test prompts participants can use immediately to evaluate any GenAI platform, such as researching tax questions, Excel formula, creation, and other relevant areas.
- Understanding SOC2 and GenAI-Specific Security Challenges: Understanding the critical differences in how each platform handles client data, including enterprise vs. consumer tiers, data retention policies, and compliance with professional confidentiality requirements.
- Future-Proofing Your AI Strategy: Recognizing that today's best platform may not be tomorrow's winner, participants will learn how to continuously reassess their AI toolkit as capabilities evolve and new entrants emerge.
Who Will Benefit
Ideal for CPAs across all practice areas who are evaluating GenAI tools for adoption, technology decision-makers at accounting firms, and professionals seeking to make informed procurement decisions.
