This course aims of this course is to provide participants with an overview of key requirements related Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE). Course topics will cover the following key items:
- Overview of General Standards
- Disclosure and Presentation
- Revenue – General Concepts
- Income Taxes (Expenses)
- Lease Accounting
- Related Party Transactions; and
- Recent Update (2026) to Standards

Topics will be broken down into seven (7) Modules, namely:
- Overview of General Standards
- Disclosure and Presentation
- Revenue – General Concepts
- Income Taxes (Expenses)
- Lease Accounting
- Related Party Transactions; and
- Recent Update (2026) to Standards
Note: This training session will be provided in two (2) full-day sessions. Participants are required to attend both sessions to receive credit for the overall course.

Francis (Frank) Seguin, CPA, CA, has over 25 years’ experience providing training, lecturing, assurance and advisory services to clients based in Ontario, throughout Canada and internationally, with a focus on the broader public sector and not-for-profit organizations. He has worked in professional services’ firm for over 20 years as well as in industry, and currently lectures for CPA Ontario and CPA Quebec; he has also lectured on a part-time basis at the bachelors’ and graduate levels in the Université du Québec en Outaouais and the University of Ottawa.
