This interactive, CPA Ontario course provides hundreds of useful tips for accountants working at any level of government. Much of the information applies directly to the workplace and is illustrated through concrete examples derived from practical experience. Accountants are expected to be able to deal with a myriad of issues and situations. Be prepared to share your personal experience and lessons learned from colleagues and mentors. You will gain numerous, unconventional tips from your instructor and obtain new perspectives from course participants.
The course covers creative thinking for accountants, straight talk on ethics, and practical technology advice. It also includes how to deal with contracts and lawyers, critical steps when you change jobs, trouble spots for financial leaders and solutions, some financial modelling keys, quantitative finance function measurement, and addresses the faster close.
This session was created and is presented by a veteran CFO who has produced seminars that have been attended by over 14,000 accountants. The course is led by Stephen Priddle, known for his practicality, examples, and humour.
