Carolyn Rogers was appointed Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada in December 2021 for a seven-year term. She shares responsibility for decisions with respect to monetary policy and financial system stability. She is also a member of the Bank’s Board of Directors. At the time of her appointment, Ms. Rogers was Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. From 2016 to 2019, she was Assistant Superintendent, Regulation Sector, at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, where she was responsible for policy-related functions, including capital, accounting and legislation. Before joining OSFI, Ms. Rogers served as Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Institutions Commission of British Columbia and chaired the Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators. She is also a founding member and past Chair of the Credit Union Prudential Supervisors Association. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ms. Rogers is a Chartered Professional Accountant, with degrees from Brandon University and Queen’s University. |

Carol Wilding was appointed by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario's Council as the President and CEO in October 2014. In her role, Carol leads the qualifying and regulatory body of Ontario’s more than 100,000 members and over 20,000 students. CPA Ontario serves the public interest by developing, monitoring and enforcing the highest standards of professional competence and ethical conduct. Prior to joining CPA Ontario, Carol harnessed her accounting background to work in civic growth and policy as President and CEO of the Toronto Region Board of Trade; in healthcare, research and philanthropy as President of Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation; and in international development as President of Plan Canada. She holds an Honours degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University, earned her accounting designation in 1987 and was named a Fellow in 2009. |
