Description
The first half of this program will focus on email etiquette. It will address issues such as: email length, response time, subject lines, tone, formality, abbreviations, and "I hope all is well". Participants will be invited to engage in the discussion and share their experiences with the group.
The second half of the program will focus on readability. The concept of "readability" refers to whether or not a client can read an accountant's writing with ease. Clients wish to receive correspondence that they can read quickly and easily. This half of the program will cover 10 techniques for drafting user-friendly emails and documents.

Ryan Standil gives seminars on effective written communication. He presents at CPA Ontario, the Law Society of Ontario, and individual firms. Ryan attended Western University, where he graduated from the Ivey Business School and the Faculty of Law. After graduating, Ryan joined a corporate law firm in Toronto. Today he owns and operates a seminar company, called Write To Excite.
