Rinna Sak, CPA, CA is the national leader of Grant Thornton’s ESG and Sustainability practice and a consulting member of Grant Thornton International’s Sustainability Steering Committee. She also leads National Accounting Standards at the firm, overseeing and participating in initiatives related to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and other Canadian standards. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in public practice, Rinna helps businesses and accounting professionals connect the strategic and financial dots when it comes to quantifying and disclosing ESG risks and opportunities.
Kelly Whitman, CPA, CA is a Senior Manager in Grant Thornton’s National Assurance and ESG and Sustainability practices. With 15 years of experience, Kelly helps practitioners apply rigor to assurance engagements by overseeing technical training, writing assurance publications, and providing education about new and upcoming standards. She helps practitioners make the connection between general assurance concepts and the evolving ESG reporting landscape.
Lauren Picchetti, CPA, CA is a Senior Manager in Grant Thornton’s Assurance and ESG and Sustainability practices. With a decade of experience in public practice and financial reporting, she helps businesses understand the impact incoming ESG frameworks may have on their reporting requirements and how they can integrate sustainability reporting into their operations. Previously a member of Grant Thornton’s Professional Practice Group, Lauren has experience developing risk management strategies to help clients deal with complex issues.
