This course will provide an overview of key Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) which are critical for those in financial reporting or auditing roles. The purpose of this course is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of PSAS and how to apply them in the preparation or analysis of financial statement in a public sector setting.
This session will allow participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the various Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) as issued by CPA Canada. At the end of the session, participants will be able to apply PSAS in assessing the recognition, measurement and disclosure in financial statements.

Francis (Frank) Seguin, CPA, CA, has over 26 years of experience in audits and assurance-related standards. He is now a professor at the University of Quebec in Outaouais, and has extensive experience providing accounting, auditing, advisory and consulting services to all types of entities (private, not-for-profit and government). He has worked in professional services’ firm for over 20 years and has performed audit in all Canadian provinces and territories, as well as over 15 countries internationally. He also regularly lectures for both CPA Ontario and CPA Quebec.
