Description
Unaddressed bias in the workplace can result in employees not feeling psychologically safe in the workplace. When bias persists at work, it can cause low or no emotional engagement, increased stress-related illness, increased absenteeism, high turnover and lower client satisfaction. Psychological safety means an absence of interpersonal fear. When psychological safety is present, people are able to speak up freely with work solutions and content ideas and respond to discourse without feeling like their jobs are at stake. On completion of this course, people managers will learn how to fight against bias, identify how to create a space of psychological safety and understand strategies for handling complex workplace scenarios.
