Most CPAs earn leadership roles by being excellent at the technical work. Then the job changes. Their results become their team's results, and the habits that made them a strong individual performer, such as doing it themselves, reviewing everything, and being the expert with the answer, start to hold them back. This session names that shift and gives members three practical changes they can use right away: setting clear standards, delegating to develop their people, and handling the conversations that technical leaders tend to avoid. Every participant completes a short leadership self-assessment and leaves with a one-page plan for their first 30 days.
