The London CPA Ontario Association is excited to present our fall networking event – Connect For A Cause. 

We constantly hear from CPAs that are looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, and also from local not-for-profit organizations searching for qualified, finance-savvy people to join their boards. So we built an event that brings all of those people together.

Nonprofit boards need people who understand financial statements, budgeting, risk management, governance, audit, and strategic decision-making. As a CPA, you have skills that can make a meaningful difference and this event gives you an opportunity to find an organization where your expertise, interests, and values align. This isn't a job fair, and it's not a traditional networking event. It's a structured opportunity to meet nonprofit leaders, learn about their organizations and board needs, and have meaningful conversations about how you could contribute as a volunteer board member.

Active CPAs, retired CPAs, and CPA students are all welcome. 

Blair Henry from Pillar Non Profit Network will also deliver a short workshop on Find Your Fit – A Guide to Joining Nonprofit Boards. His workshop will include:

1. Understanding the role of a board member
2. Assessing your skills and interests
3. Finding the right nonprofit
4. Engaging effectively on a board 

Finger food and a beverage are included in your registration.
