This seminar focuses on the recovery rules applicable to GST/HST and Quebec sales tax (QST) to maximize tax recovery. Participants will gain insight on how to avoid the pitfalls and reduce audit exposures while maximizing tax recoveries.
The recovery of tax is one of the most common areas prone to audit assessments. This insightful overview will include a detailed examination of the documentation requirements, when and how to claim input tax credits and restricted expenses for both large and small to medium sized businesses. A comprehensive overview of the recovery rules using common everyday examples to illustrate the key technical issues, employee expense reports and company credit card issues will also be discussed.
