Description
This seminar will teach you how to prepare a digital estate plan. A digital estate plan allows you to organize digital information required for creating a thorough Estate Plan. Concepts are described through seven modules: Assets, Liabilities, Accounts, Documents, Locations, Executor and Path.
A digital estate plan is a living document requiring regular updating. An incomplete digital estate plan can result in delays, increased fees, and irretrievable assets. Like a last will and testament, a thorough digital estate plan is created for one’s heirs.
Attendees will receive a Digital Assets Memorandum and ‘Start Here.txt’ file.
Key Takeaways
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize traditional and contemporary elements of an estate plan.
- Define a starting point for the inevitable and sudden demands of estate settlement.
- Incremental testing and correction of each sequential, necessary step.
- Completion of a thorough digital estate plan.
Who Will Benefit
The seminar is designed for estate holders who wish to ensure their Executor(s) will have full access to their digital information. It will benefit attendees who either have a traditional Estate Plan, or none but would like to develop one.
