A non-technical explanation and concise review of artificial intelligence (AI) for accountants. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a term to describe computers or machines performing tasks that normally require human intelligence. This CPA Ontario course highlights how AI is being used in everyday life and disrupting the accounting profession. Discover leading examples of AI in accounting services and software, and AI's potential to help accountants gain a competitive advantage, drive innovation, increase productivity, and improve the overall quality of their work.
Participants will be given an overview of AI's foundational technologies including machine learning, robotic process automation, natural language processing, machine vision and robotics. The course will discuss how AI can help eliminate mundane tasks, improve forecasting, sharpen decision making, personalize recommendations and create conversational interfaces. Emerging challenges related to AI will also be explored including deep fakes, mass surveillance and job loss.
