Description
Master the art of building a financial model to value a mining company. This course will simulate the experience of working as a corporate development professional at a mining company evaluating an acquisition opportunity. Learn to build a financial model that will be a useful tool for testing different metal prices and other assumptions such as grade, recovery rate, unit operating costs, and capital expenditures
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Gather economic information from a technical report
- Build a robust and dynamic model in Excel
- Incorporate assumptions and financials into the model
- Use formulas to calculate the net present value of the mining asset
- Run a sensitivity analysis to output charts
- Illustrate the range of values for an investment opportunity
