In this course, you will learn how to build a three-statement financial model from scratch in Excel from a step by step video.
Constructing and balancing three-statement financial models is a critical skill for many roles in accounting and finance. An income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet helps assess the financial health of a business. Connecting the balance sheet correctly adds an error detection system to highlight issues with the financial model.
This course also discusses the importance of designing a well-structured model and financial modelling best practices. You will learn how to structure the model, as well as how to build a forecast income statement, a forecast balance sheet and a forecast cash flow statement. You will also review and audit the model to ensure accuracy and consistency.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Apply a structured approach to financial modeling in Excel
- Build from operating revenues down to operating profit
- Forecast the income statement and balance sheet
- Build the debt and financing schedules
- Build a free cash flow statement.
WHO WILL BENEFIT:
CPAs and accounting and finance professionals looking to provide value to their finance teams by learning how to construct and balance three-statement financial models.
