"Taxes are easy!" Said no one, ever.
It would be much more accurate to say that taxes are complicated. And yet, paying income tax in Canada is an annual reality for all businesses and individuals. How exactly income tax is levied is often a source of misunderstanding amongst both taxpayers and their advisors.
This course covers the foundations of income taxation in Canada, with a particular focus on application in Ontario from a provincial perspective.

Alex Garber, CPA, CA, MTax has been in public practice since 2004, focusing primarily on income taxation for Canadian owner-managed businesses and their shareholders. Alex also teaches at York University, at the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and at the PEP program for aspiring CPA students. Alex started his career at Deloitte and he's currently working at Fuller Landau LLP in Toronto.
