Description
Controllers occupy a unique place within an organization by working with both operations and executive management. Controllers add value to an organization by fulfilling four distinct roles: steward, operator, catalyst and strategist.
This course provides an opportunity to view the controller as a leader and key strategic partner.
Participants will reflect on their own leadership style and how they, as a CPA, will become a leader. In our ever-changing economic environment participants will consider how they influence their organization in areas of strategic thinking, change and crisis management, and emotional intelligence. Controllers must also be able to interact with people from across generations, an area of increasing importance within an evolving workforce.
Topics Include:
- Controller as a leader.
- Controller as a strategic manager.
- Controller as a change, conflict and crisis manager.
Please note, for a course that focuses on the roles of steward and operator, register for Controllership: Operational Management.
