Description
This course will:
- Show that ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) are related concepts but have distinct focuses and scopes.
- Explore who you can integrate ESG concepts into existing GRC models to demonstrate how existing programs can be expanded to deal with all aspects of ESG obligations.
- Review the guidelines provided by COSO in their recent publication Achieving Effective Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting ("ICSR").
- Demonstrate how the COSO Internal Control concepts, which are fully established in most companies, can be extended to implement the required controls over the ESG initiatives and enhance the reliability of Sustaintainability Reporting by applying common sense and adding value.
