You will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the unique accounting requirements of public sector entities by taking this Public Sector Accounting Standards Certificate. The certificate program covers financial reporting and accounting standards, supports decision-making, fosters trust, and expands career opportunities in the public sector. This course is critical for those in financial reporting or auditing roles.
This program will introduce the new conceptual framework for public sector accounting which will be applicable in 2026, with early adoption permitted. The course will introduce insights which cover the future of financial reporting in the public sector. This session will allow participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the various Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) as issued by CPA Canada. At the end of the session, participants will be able to apply PSAS in assessing the recognition, measurement and disclosure in financial statements

He has worked in professional services’ firm for over 20 years, and providing accounting, assurance and advisory services to a number of public sector entities.; He currently lectures for CPA Ontario and has previously lectured on a part-time basis at the bachelors’ and graduate levels in the Université du Québec en Outaouais and the University of Ottawa.
