Description

Leveraged buyouts are part of the evolving M&A market. This course will help you prepare the model for your organization or a group of investors looking to acquire a company with mostly borrowed funds. In this course, you will build a leveraged buyout (LBO) model from scratch. The model will be structured with sections such as financing assumptions, sources and uses of cash, and purchase price allocation.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Create your own LBO model in Excel from scratch
  • Prepare a closing balance sheet that makes a pro forma for the transaction
  • Examine internal rates of return by investor type
  • Perform sensitivity analysis on the returns for this transaction
  • Understand how leverage can be used to increase returns for equity investors
