Description
Join fellow CPAs for an in-person professional development session focused on two of the most pressing areas shaping client, business, and personal financial decisions today: the North American economic outlook and current tax developments.
Given the rapidly evolving and often unpredictable policy environment in the United States, this session will feature an economic update on North America, with a particular focus on fiscal debt levels, the U.S. deficit, trade dynamics and tariffs, and the implications of ongoing USMCA developments. The discussion will also examine the interest rate outlook through a renewal and refinancing lens, including mortgage renewal and refinancing risk, and what these trends mean for CPAs advising clients and organizations in the coming months.
The economic outlook will be complemented by a practical tax update, highlighting recent tax developments, CRA focus areas, and tax considerations that influence business, financial, and personal decision-making. The session is designed to emphasize context, professional judgment, and real-world application, rather than technical detail, making it relevant to CPAs across public practice, corporate accounting, and finance leadership roles.
The evening will conclude with dedicated time for networking and discussion with fellow CPAs and speakers in an informal setting. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.
This event is proudly sponsored by Float Financial and Royal Bank of Canada, supporting high-quality professional development and peer engagement within the CPA community.
